New Cycle Arts Festival planned for September 2025

May 7, 2025

A new Community led Cycle Arts Festival for Renfrewshire is being planned for early September 2025.

Recently a new community interest Company (Cycle Arts Renfrewshire CIC ) was set up representing a collection of community partner organisations and local artists to re develop and deliver this unique outdoor arts Festival for the Renfrewshire Cycle routes.  Some new artists commissions and local artist performance events are planned  like our wonderful cycle powered music stage, story walks and outdoor arts exhibitions. Look out for public callouts for artists and events over the next few months.

The Cycle Arts Festival  aims to:-

  • To increase the use and value of Renfrewshire Cycle routes by the wider public – linking communities in Paisley, Johnstone, Elderslie, Kilbarchan, Bridge of Weir and Lochwinnoch.
  • To develop a strategic arts event which both delivers innovative outdoor arts experiences and promotes health and wellbeing in Renfrewshire, encouraging cycling for wellbeing and active travel.
  • To change perceptions and develop understanding of the climate emergency in Renfrewshire and look at solutions for adaptation and mitigation against the effects of climate change for the people of Renfrewshire.
