Botanical Stitch Workshop with Niki Taylor

An informal and relaxed outdoor embroidery workshop inspired by the local plants along the Renfrewshire cycle track. You will learn simple embroidery techniques to create simple patterns and forms onto a variety of leaves to create your own natural artworks.

About the Artist/Facilitator

Niki is an educator, artist and design activist. She currently teaches on sustainable and regenerative textiles across both higher education and community focussed workshops at Edinburgh College of Art, Remode Youth and for The Princes Foundations, Future Textiles program. Disturbed by the far-reaching effects of the Fashion Industry on people and nature lead her to explore new creative ways of working driven by cross-collaboration, community and taking action on positive solutions which both nurture and empower.
