Pigeons, Patter and pathways is a participatory art project. It is uplifting poetry and a permanent mural, inspired by and exploring our connection to nature, the pigeons and other birds that live along the cycle route.
Walk through the tunnel leading off Easwald Bank up to the cycle path and enjoy an ascending mural of birds morphing towards bursting positivity of colour & words.
Up on the platform itself you can hear poetry, spoken word and music in the trees.
The words on the mural and recordings are all made by local creative writers from Kilbarchan and wider Renfrewshire.
From murky to mystical, this artwork taps into the beauty of existing things … vermin pigeons to dream birds? Dingy tunnel or transcendent channel?
