About the Artist/Facilitator
Keng Keng is a community activist and experimental milliner based in Glasgow. She has been involved with various community-based racial, environmental, and social justice movements around Scotland and in London. Running arts workshops has been a key element of her work in recent years – She mainly makes banners, using screen-printing and block-printing techniques as a gentle ‘way-in’ to speak about important but difficult subjects. Co-producing unique textiles and prints with a group of people not only creates a sense of solidarity between participants, but also fosters conversations which might otherwise struggle to emerge.
