DESCRIPTION:Artist\nKevin Cameron \nIntro\nThe Eco Screen offers outdoor screenings of a curated programme of current short environmental films from within the forest. Parkhill woods and the rhododendron maze offers a unique environment for this mini outdoor screen. The small screenings are beneath a canopy of rhododendrons allowing us to take time to reflect on the remarkable Parkhill woods and current global environmental issues. \nExtra Info\nThe curated short film programme offers an eclectic mix of short films from Scottish and International film makers including award winning animation. The Short films are between 5 and 14 min long and are presented running on a loop. \nDates & times\nSaturday 6th August 2022\, 2pm – 5pm & Sunday 7th August 2022\, 2pm – 5pm \nLocation: \nThe Maze at Parkhill Woods\, Castle Semple Country Park. \nPlease wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day\, including suitable footwear for muddy forest paths. \n  \nThis event is free\, with no ticket required\nSimply come along on the day\n

The Art of Weaving is an inspiring documentary about the life and work of Jessica Green\, an innovative weaver and homesteader who lives in the Sandy Mush Community of Western North Carolina. Peter Burnett was an African American in 18th Century Paisley who was one of the town’s most successful weavers. Stealing Our Future\, is an award winning short animation by P7 pupils at Herriot PS that features a speech made to the UN by Greta Thurnberg.   \n\n  \nDates & times\nSaturday 6th August 2022\, 2pm – 5pm & Sunday 7th August 2022\, 2pm – 5pm \n\nLocation:\nThe Maze at Parkhill Woods\, Castle Semple Country Park. \nCourtshaw Hill Viewpoint is located in quite an exposed location with a short but steep climb to the top along a dedicated footpath.   \nPlease wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day\, including suitable footwear for moderate hill climbing and waterproofs in case of rain. For longer events there will be seating available but please be aware that it will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The nearest toilet facilities are located at Castle Semple Visitor centre\, so please bear this in mind when attending events.  \n  \nThis event is free\, with no ticket required \nSimply come along on the day
