DESCRIPTION:Intro \nThis ride will begin at Lochwinnoch Visitor’s Centre and head up into the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park to see Barytes Mine\, finishing up back at Lochwinnoch Visitor’s Centre. A perfect mountain or gravel bike ride along this scenic route. \n  \n \nFind details of the full route here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1071232923?ref=wtd \n  \nExtra Info \nTrained Bike ride leaders will guide the group along the cycle route. \n  \nYou’ll require your own bike to take part in these cycle rides. Please check that your bike is in good working condition before coming along for the ride. \n  \nThese rides aren’t recommended for children\, though they are welcome to come along as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult and are willing to cycle for several miles for two hours. \n  \nAlthough the group will aim to arrive back at the end point at the time suggested\, we would like to make it clear that some rides can take a little longer. For evening rides all participants bikes will be required to have functional lights. \n  \nPlease arrive 10 minutes before the start time for safety information to be taken and for bikes to be checked. Rides are weather dependent and may be subject to cancellation if conditions are unsafe. All attendees will receive an email prior to the ride if it has had to be cancelled. \n  \n– \n  \nThese led rides were made possible by funding awarded by Cycling UK’s Shift grant. \nCycle Arts Renfrewshire is funded by Place Partnership based at OneRen. Our multi-day festival will run from September 12th-14th\, celebrating the stretch of National Cycle Route 7 from Paisley all the way to Lochwinnoch with unique focal points across its many interlinked communities. We aim to draw meaningful attention and thoughtful reflection towards cycling\, nature\, wellness and sustainability through a diverse programme of activities\, music\, performance\, and public art. National Cycle Route 7 provides a perfect backdrop to highlight alternative transport through the scenic Scottish landscape and deeply engage with its vibrant ecologies. Activities and events are designed for audiences of all ages and will promote accessibility with assisted rides and trail tours. Have a gander at our exciting day by day outline below! \nFriday September 12th – Kick off!\nOpening celebration in Paisley County Square featuring guest speakers\, free cycle tune-ups\, a boisterous cèilidh. \nPaisley County Square\n3-5 PM – FREE cycle tune-ups presented by Dr. Bike + Bike for Good (first come first served) \n3-5 PM – FREE ceilidh band and dancing with Ceithir \n3-5 PM – Cycle Arts Renfrewshire and 2025 Festival info stall \n— \nSaturday September 13th – Cycle Parade with Community Hub Pitstops\nGroups of riders experience the full length of Cycle Route 7\, taking off from the Paisley starting line and traveling to the finish line in Lochwinnoch at Castle Semple for a colorful celebratory performance.
